1. The electronic submission system will be available for receiving original contributions since 17/01/2005.

2. The first author must register in the official site of the Scientific Event. One new register should be open for each new author.

3. The deadline will be 28/02/2005 (Brazilian Standard time).

4. The original contributions will only be accepted in the website address.

5. After opening the website address of the Congress, just follow the instructions that will appear on the screen.

6. It will be accepted only 3 original contributions from the same first author.

7. The size and pitch will be automatic adjusted by the system. The space available will be 600 characters for the title, Institutions (up to two) and name of the authors (up to 10). There will be more 2,000 characters for the body of the abstract. A table will be allowed to be inserted but graphics and pictures no.

8. The body of the abstract should follow this structure: introduction, objectives, methods, results and conclusions. The Institution’s nor the author’s names, should not be mentioned in the body text. References also will not be allowed. Abbreviations also should be used in a minimal and rational way, and written between parentheses after being mentioned for the first time. Incomplete abstracts, as “the results will be announced..” will not be accepted.

9. It will be possible to copy and paste the body text, with the exception of the tables. Excess of characters will be cut off automatically.

10. The original contributions will be accepted in the Portuguese, Spanish and in English.

11. The first author should choose the presentation format, as an oral or poster presentation. Also, it is necessary to choose only one abstract category, the one that best fits the study objectives, between five that will be available.

12. At the end of the body text, the author will have to ways to choose:
a. Save the abstract as a draft, being allowed to modified it until the deadline or;
b. Save it and send it right away, in a definitive form, not being allowed to perform further corrections.

13. Please, pay much attention in order not to submitted incomplete or duplicated abstracts, regarding to incorrect use of the electronic system.

14. The approval communication will be informed in an electronic way, using as reference the electronic address from the first author, fulfilled in the registration.

15. The abstracts approved should be presented by one of the author’s that must be registered for participating in the Congress.

16. The Brazilian Society of Interventional Cardiology (SBHCI) will not responsible for the travel arrangements neither reimbursement, related to expenses necessaries for the abstract presentation.

17. The abstracts will be published in the official publication Journal of the SBHCI.

18. The five abstracts, in each presentation category, with higher evaluations grades, will be selected to compete and receive “The Best Awards of the Scientific Meeting”, in three categories: oral, poster and pediatrics.

19. The original contributions will be judged by three different Senior Members of the Scientific Board Commission from SBHCI, in a blind way. Abstracts that presented a final average grade with a grade discrepancy (> 5 points difference), will be analyzed again by the Executive Scientific Commission of the Meeting. The final average grade will not be informed to the authors.
