Dear Colleagues,

The 27 th SBHCI Congress will be held from June 29 to July 1st 2005 at the Goiânia Convention Center. The most important meeting of the Brazilian Intervention Cardiology will be held in a well designed Convention Center, with modern meeting rooms equipped with air conditioning systems, offering a high level of comfort to the participants.

Goiânia, the capital of the State of Goiás, is a young city, with a population exceeding 1 million inhabitants, and is ranked among the 10 Brazilian capitals to offer the best quality of life. The city has an excellent infrastructure, with quality hotels and restaurants for participants to enjoy.

Goiânia is located in the center of the State of Goiás, allowing for easy access by plane from other capitals, as the capital of Brazil, Brasília. The state offers many other tourism opportunities, as the historical cities of Pirenópolis, Cidade de Goiás, and others as Caldas Novas, Pousada do Rio Quente. The environmentalists can choose to visit Parauna and the Chapada dos Veadeiros.

The 2005 SBHCI Congress will be an excellent opportunity for Brazilian intervention cardiologists to discuss major advances in the field. The Scientific Committee has carefully chosen the topics for discussion, including current subjects and controversies that will be debated by Brazilian speakers and invited experts from Europe, Argentina, Canada, and United States.

We are all working intensively to ensure that our Congress attains a level of excellence able to meet the expectations of SBHCI members and foreign guests, maintaining the tradition of quality of the Brazilian Intervention Cardiology.
