Dear Colleagues,
There’s an old oriental saying: “Strength comes from union.” Indeed, throughout history the merging of countries and societies has proven itself capable of achieving great objectives.
The same thing occurs in training professionals in interventional cardiology. Many of us “immigrated” searching for the best professional education we could find. I was fortunate to land at the “Dante Pazzanese” Cardiology Institute (IDPC) in São Paulo-Brazil, such as other colleagues who were also very lucky to get to other superb training centers throughout Latin America. I was joined by many excellent brothers from Uruguay, Venezuela, Ecuador, Colombia, Mexico and Argentina. On top of the excellent academic and practical education we received, we found something extra in Brazil: the great human warmth of our Brazilian colleagues. It was inevitable that we would become friends.
After those years of professional and human training, each of us found our ways back to our countries and put those wonderful teachings into practice.
I received specialization, cultural exchange, human education and great friendship at IDPC, as did all my colleagues who completed their education in other Latin America destinations.
Greetings to all my friends.
