Dear colleagues,

I'm truly glad to see once again the meeting of two medical societies of such an importance with the aim of promoting an event for a great scientific content.

Along the last years, both SBHCI and SOLACI's websites have brought to their associates the main news from the world's interventional cardiology, with comments on recently published scientific articles, coverage of international congresses, interviews with the main researchers of our time, slide presentations, clinical cases and much more relevant information within our specialty, which uses the internet in its potent development as a fundamental instrument for constant updating.

With the creation of the website of the SOLACI-SBHCI 2009, our purpose is to keep our associates updated regarding all news from the congress, highlighting its diversified scientific schedule, the renowned international guests, live cases transmitions from Brazil and other countries, submission of abstracts, among others. We will also bring information about Rio de Janeiro, with indications of tourist points to be visited, hotels and restaurants so that your stay in the “wonderful city” may be as pleasant as possible. Moreover, we will approach other interesting themes, such as the long time cultural interchange that exists between the Latin America countries, that have already formed hundreds of interventional cardiologists.
